Finding Perspective with Aalia Lanius

Aalia Lanius is a hard woman to describe and in the best way possible. It was tough to decide what subject to cover in our time together on Gold and you will see why. What came of our time together was the theme of perspective in all manner of ways. She is a 3x cancer survivor, writes books to change minds and hearts and lives with chronic illness and a resiliency that is unwavering and inspirational.

Aalia is the founder of Unsugarcoated Media, an American novelist, business leadership coach, inspirational speaker and advocate. As an American Muslim with a German and Mediterranean background, Aalia is fully aware of the conflicting psyche living in America.  Her first novel, Tough Love, in 2018, began a journey of authoring fiction that strikes at social issues. In it she shatters the belief that women should sacrifice themselves for love, and hits on an undercurrent of domestic violence. In her second novel, Jugend, she felt pulled to empower under-represented groups in society by directly challenging hateful rhetoric and racism through a beautiful story of two men throughout time.

Aalia resides with her husband, Hollywood Film Attorney and Executive Producer, Joseph Lanius, and is a mother of four.

I can’t even tell you how valuable this conversation is to me personally. Aalia is all heart and I am thrilled she is on this earth to share her story and her call to find perspective in all things.
